NATHANIEL RAWICKI, M.D.


Dr. Rawicki graduated from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Medicine, with honors. He subsequently received his Medical Degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, graduating in the top 5% of his class and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) National Medical Honor Society, as well as the Gold Humanism Honor Society which recognizes individuals who exemplify compassionate care. 

 

Dr. Rawicki then graduated from the New York Medical College Orthopedic Residency Program, serving as Chief Resident in his final year. During this time, he trained at Westchester Medical Center, a trauma center consistently ranked among the nation’s highest in case mix index, an indicator of the complexity of cases performed. During his training, he also spent time at Mount Sinai and the Hospital for Special Surgery, learning from some of the foremost experts in their field. Following his orthopedic residency, he pursued further training in Spine Surgery at the Twin Cities Spine Center located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, completing the John H. Moe Fellowship Program, an internationally renowned program responsible for the training of many of the current leaders in the field.

 

Dr. Rawicki currently specializes in the treatment of all spinal disorders, with a particular interest in both minimally invasive spine surgery, as well as complex spinal deformity and revision procedures. His passion is to provide cutting-edge surgical techniques which minimize postoperative pain and medication usage, while ensuring the tenets of spine surgery are followed, to provide the best possible outcome. Dr. Rawicki aims to perform the least invasive possible procedure in order to alleviate a patient’s spinal condition, while promoting quick recovery and rehabilitation. He continues to have active interest in the advancement of the field, being actively involved in research, with multiple publications including journal articles, presentations and review articles.
